Puppies are checked by our vet and have their first shots, are well socialized, outgoing and healthy, guaranteed pups.

We have been certifying hips from the start. Buying from a vet, we were taught all the pitfalls of not being selective. OFA started the year we bought Tammy in 1966.

We have always certified eyes through an ophthalmologist, and since mid-eighties, have cleared hearts for SAS., through Ontario Veterinary College or Michigan State Veterinary College. More recently, we are including elbow x-rays too.

We also do checks for thyroid and VWD. Above all, our first consideration is a sound, reliable temperament because without it, you do not have a dog for any purpose!

Puppies leave our home at seven weeks. We prefer not to fly the puppy, though we have done so, from coast to coast and to the USA. Many owners will choose to drive here, meet us and take their puppy home on their knee. They have come from Halifax, North Carolina, New York, Connecticut, Montreal, and elsewhere over the years, and have had great trips home.

Purchasing a Carolee Golden Retriever means we stay in touch, forever, and will be there to advise and encourage, every step of the way. There has been nothing more rewarding than to have traveled from coast to coast, and to the states, mostly New York, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and to California with our beloved breed.  

To have exhibited our Goldens and to have friends everywhere that have been there for us over all the years is the most important thing.    

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              We make every effort to always breed with the betterment of the breed at heart. Every breeding has been carefully researched, reviewed, and planned, to produce ever better puppies. We have never, just bred to a 'current name' because of his record. The two Goldens must compliment each other, in structure, temperament and trainability.
